Laser For Machine Vision
Machine vision is a technology used to automatically inspect and measure objects and surfaces. Typically, a visible or infrared light source illuminates the target surface, and a machine vision camera or position sensitive detector (PSD) captures the reflection. Software is then used to automatically reconstruct objects in a digital environment, verify product conformity, perform presence checks, or detect faults along a production line. This can increase speeds, reduce costs, and improve the accuracy of quality control processes in industry.

Example Aapplications

3D structured light
The speckle laser projects a highly random and high-contrast speckle light field onto the surface of the measured object. Combined with multi-view image acquisition by industrial cameras, it enables high-precision 3D topography reconstruction of the object surface. This technology supports fine measurement of complex curved surfaces and microstructures, dimensional inspection, geometric tolerance analysis, and defect detection.

Surface Defect Inspection
The line laser projects a highly uniform and straight laser line onto the surface of the workpiece. Combined with high-precision image acquisition by industrial cameras, and based on laser triangulation principles and grayscale/height information analysis, it enables highly sensitive detection of micro-defects including scratches, pits, protrusions, and cracks.

Weld Seam Positioning
The line laser projects a highly consistent reference laser line onto the workpiece surface. Combined with high-resolution industrial cameras for image acquisition and sub-pixel edge extraction, it enables high-precision identification of weld position, gap and profile. This solution meets the automation requirements of complex structural components and high-precision welding processes.
