Line straightness
For a line laser, the maximum lateral deviation of the centerline of the projected laser line from the ideal straight line, within the specified working distance and measurement plane, is the key indicator for evaluating the geometric regularity of the laser line.It directly determines the accuracy of positioning and inspection applications.

Uniform Laser Line
A line laser, at the standard working distance, projects a continuous light strip, and the degree to which the light energy and brightness distribution at each position along the entire line remain consistent within the effective working length.

Line width
The actual geometric width of the laser line generated by a line laser within its effective working distance refers to the physical thickness of the bright laser line.A narrower and more uniform line width results in a sharper laser line profile, which directly delivers higher accuracy in positioning and inspection applications.

Focusing and Depth of Field
It refers to the effective depth of field range where the line laser maintains a clear, straight, sharp, and non‑divergent laser line when the projection distance is varied along the optical axis.Within this range, the laser line’s width, straightness, and brightness remain consistently stable and within specification.Beyond the effective depth of field, the laser line becomes blurred, widened, and its definition significantly degraded.
